Panoramic Associates are working with a local authority to recruit an Interim Children and Young People Commissioning Lead for a full time, 6 month contract role. The role requires on-site work, with a commitment of no more than 1 day per week.
Role and Experience Required:
- The ideal candidate should be well-versed in managing children’s and young people’s services, with a particular focus on home finding and residential placements.
- Prior experience in overseeing children’s residential placements on a block basis is essential.
- Familiarity with the regional fee uplift and local government uplift processes is desired.
- Expertise in areas such as Short breaks, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and education commissioning is crucial.
- The role involves managing a small team of 3 to 4 staff members.
Key Deliverables:
- Facilitate the fee uplift process for the 24/25 period across all children’s placements in education and social care.
- Implement and evaluate the procurement of residential providers for delivering services to children’s homes.
- Ensure the successful implementation of the short breaks commissioning strategy.
- Focus on key aspects related to SEND and Education Projects.
