Panoramic Associates is supporting an East London local authority with the recruitment of an Interim Head of Therapies for the Education and Inclusion service.
Our client is looking for an experienced Speech & Language Therapist or Occupational Therapist to strategically manage the ‘in-house’ delivery of the therapy service.
The assignment will initially be until the end of Aug 2024, with the scope to go perm. There will be an expectation to go on site a minimum of twice a week to attend meetings and supervise the team. Ideally, the post holder could start within the next 4 weeks.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing a team of SALT’s and OT’s, including the Head of SALT and Head of OT.
- Responsible for day-to-day operational and strategic service planning and delivery, including involvement in a new Early Years Intervention project.
- Liaising with NHS and social care colleagues as well as SENCOs and Headteachers to ensure services meet requirements.
- Delivering quantification for EHCPs, as well as responding to complaints and providing evidence for tribunals.
Essential Criteria:
- Must be a qualified SALT or OT
- Experience working within mainstream schools
- Previously led a team of OTs or SALTs
