A South East based client is looking to hire a Head of Commercial Law to join their already established and successful business.
Overview of the role:
- Personally manage a complex caseload of planning and highways matters while delivering precise written and verbal advice to officers and Members across the Council.
- Provide authoritative strategic and operational legal guidance on high-profile, cross-cutting issues.
- Directly lead and performance-manage the Contract Lawyers, Planning Lawyers and Principal Property Lawyer; exercise oversight of the wider property law team.
- Serve as a proactive member of the Legal Services Management Team, driving service improvement, innovation and measurable impact.
- Deputise for the Monitoring Officer as required, with a clear pathway to formal appointment as Deputy Monitoring Officer.
