Panoramic Associates is currently working with a Local Authority client in the North of England to appoint an Interim Development Manager to lead on leisure and mixed-use development projects. This is an initial 6-month contract, with potential for extension.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving forward the development and delivery of key leisure and mixed-use schemes, aligning them with the council’s wider regeneration and growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of leisure and mixed-use projects from inception through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Oversee the development of public leisure facilities, community hubs, and mixed-use spaces.
- Manage the planning, design, and construction phases of projects, coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and external consultants.
- Ensure projects comply with planning, regulatory, and health and safety requirements.
- Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and project alignment with council goals.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, monitor progress, and mitigate risks.
To be considered, you will have:
- Significant experience in development management, particularly in leisure, mixed-use, or regeneration projects within the public sector.
- A strong track record of managing complex development projects from design through to completion.
- Familiarity with local authority processes, planning regulations, and public sector funding.
- A relevant qualification in project management or development (e.g., RICS, APM, PRINCE2) or equivalent professional experience.
