Panoramic Associates are working with a local authority in the search for a Contracts Surveyor to join their Housing Asset Management Team and play a crucial role in achieving the goals outlined in their Smarter Housing Plan and Repairs Policies.
As a lead professional, the successful candidate will oversee repairs and maintenance inspections, offering technical advice for both tenanted and void properties. You will manage the performance of term contractors, ensuring services are delivered professionally, efficiently, and within agreed constraints of time, budget, and quality.
There will be a requirement to ensure compliance with statutory regulations, health and safety policies, and financial regulations, as well as taking charge of customer complaints, formal inquiries, insurance, compensation, and legal claims, ensuring timely resolution, and implementing corrective actions.
You will collaborate with the Responsive Repairs Maintenance and Cyclical Services Manager and the wider Asset Management Team, adopting a ‘One Team’ approach, leading the implementation of new Housing Information Systems and contribute to a holistic approach to Asset management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct property inspections, surveys, and valuations.
- Prepare detailed reports on property conditions, compliance, and maintenance requirements.
- Provide expert advice on property-related matters to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Participate in the development and implementation of property maintenance and improvement plans.
- Work closely with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Assist in the resolution of disputes, complaints, and other property-related issues.
