Clerk of Works
Northwest London
£30 per hour inside IR35
6 months (possible extension)
Role Purpose
Panoramic Associates are working with a local authority in Northwest London that are looking for a Clerk of Works to join their Housing Asset Management Team and contribute to the Smarter Housing Plan, focussing on compliance and health & safety within the HRA Capital Investment Programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage contractors on-site, providing instructions and making critical decisions.
- Inspect building works ensuring compliance with contract documents.
- Maintain project continuity, covering for colleagues during absences.
- Prepare design, quotation, and tender documentation; manage projects to final account stage.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly.
Team Outputs
- Manage budgets for Decent Homes improvement and major repairs.
- Deliver minor works and maintain an up-to-date stock condition information system.
- Survey and inspect properties; develop Asset Management strategies and policies.
- Partner with contractors, stakeholders, and residents to improve services.
- Adhere to and deliver the Smarter Ambition Plan.
Additional Duties
- Provide direction to project support staff and colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with the Council’s Equal Opportunities and Health & Safety Policies.
- Promote and participate in performance appraisal and development initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure information security.
- Communicate effectively with the public in accurate spoken English.
Requirements
