Interim Biodiversity and Climate Change Manager
Location: Southeast England (Flexible)
Contract Length: 3 months (Likely extension)
Day Rate: Competitive, Inside IR35
Working Pattern: Fulltime – Hybrid (2 days in the office)
Panoramic Associates is currently working with a Local Authority client based in Southeast England to facilitate the appointment of an Interim Biodiversity and Climate Change Manager on an interim basis for 6 months.
This role involves overseeing multiple large-scale decarbonisation projects, including the installation of low-carbon heating systems, as well as leading biodiversity initiatives. The successful candidate will also be responsible for advancing solar energy projects currently in the pipeline.
Responsibilities of the Role:
- Oversee and manage multiple major decarbonisation and sustainability projects.
- Lead biodiversity projects, ensuring alignment with environmental goals.
- Advance solar energy projects, taking them from planning to implementation.
- Engage with senior internal and external stakeholders, providing expert guidance on strategic decisions.
- Line manage 1 other person.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Proven experience in managing large-scale sustainability and biodiversity projects.
- Strong knowledge of low-carbon technologies and renewable energy systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior decision-makers.
- A background in public sector or local authority environments.
