Panoramic Associates is supporting an Independent Special School in Essex, in their search for a substantive Assistant Headteacher. This role is a full-time leadership position with operational responsibility for a small specialist School in Essex, as well as a trust-wide role focusing on Quality of Education, across multiple schools.

This role would be suitable for a experienced Assistant or Deputy Headteacher, preferrably coming from the independent special sector, though this is not essential. Your role will be close to that of a Head of School, with operational oversight and line management responsibility across the site staff.

Desirable qualifications/ qualities:

  • Middle or Senior leadership experience in an SEN School
  • Experience and understanding of Independent special school standards
  • Excellent communication and business acumen
  • QTS essential, NPQH/NPQSL desirable
